CQI-9 Guideline is an opportunity or a burden?

Today, our society uses components made from heat-treated metals in many sectors, equipment, machines and products. All users have one requirement: a utility value where the parts do not fail and do not cause failure or loss. It doesn’t always have to be just only automotive parts. Therefore, the manual “CQI-9 Heat Treatment Process Systems Assessment” can be recommended to all those, who implement heat treatment processes for metals.

The aim of this presentation is to find an answer to the question of whether the assessment of heat treatment processes in accordance with this manual provides an occasion for heat treatment operatives to gain a deeper understanding of their processes, and possible further development, or whether the value of the heat treatment operative’s time will be lost in the administrative completion of questionnaires and documents.
